How to measure

Take a look at our Measurement Guidelines below that contain "how-to-measure" information for all Architectural Grille perforated and bar grille products, making it easier for you to give us accurate measurements when ordering your desired grille.

Measure to determine your Opening Size: A = Top to Bottom (Opening Width) and B = Left to Right (Opening Length). Watch our "How To Measure a Bar Grille" video above to get more specific instructions. Our fabrication specialists can assist you in determining the perfect fit for your project.

Measurements should match the width and length of your opening’s "INSIDE space". It is recommended to allow for clearance.

NOTE: Grilles are manufactured to the size given, and WILL NOT be automatically undersized.

Determine OPENING SIZE = Measure the INSIDE of your opening (A) = Width and (B) = Length

  1. Determine CLEARANCE ALLOWANCE needed (0.125" recommended per side)
  2. Determine GRILLE SIZE = Opening Size minus Clearance Allowance
  3. Choose Bar and Frame Style (eg. AG 10 B Frame)
  4. Choose Material and Finish - determine need for Screw Holes*, Tabs,Curve, Door, etc
